Background (probably essay topic): I was born in Sierra Leone (West Africa) and have both American and Sierra Leonean citizenship. When I was about 5 or 6, my parents and I came to America. With me not being able to speak a word of English and my parents having no educational background in america (both attended African schools), we left our war torn nation (huge civil war) to seek a better future in America.
