Where do I start?

since JHU obviously has a PhD program specifically for IR they wouldn't be ranking the PS dept but the IR dept, or they would've noted so.

The SAIS IR PhD is for professional careerists. The survey is for "for a student who wants to pursue an academic career in international relations" (the emphasis is in the original!).

I rest my case. I let you remain of your opinion. Let the jury decide.

connecticut college, trinity, wesleyan

Thank you for all your help and that interesting discussion. I want a school with a strong undergraduate program in many areas, because I am not sure if I want to pursue the IR field completely and go for an MA and whatnot.

There is just one problem. I cannot visit. There is no way for me to visit any colleges. Will this hurt me ultimately? I mean how will I know I want a rural setting when, well, I have never lived in one?

Ideas?

Erm... anyone? :)
