Where do people from your school go?

There was a post about this quite some time ago, where a user posted the GPA and ACT/SAT scores of students and it showed where they were accecpted. Does anyone have anything similar?

Thanks

SAT scores and colleges people from my school were accepted to:

820: Montgomery County Community College
1600: Harvard
1570:Amherst
1540: Williams
1530: Carnegie Mellon
1030, 1170, 1350: Penn State
1030: Temple

1360: NYU
1300: U of Miami

kinglin...the old post in this board you were referring to was "The FACTS...no more worthless opinions" or something like that. It listed the SAT scores of students ppl. on this board knew and the schools they were accepted to.

Well, my schools old SAT I average score was barely broke 900. Only 13%-20% of graduating high school seniors at my school go to a 4-year university or 2-year university. Most opt for the latter and most attend the local Cal State.

However, those students at my school who do care about university have gone on to Harvard (Co-Salutorian, 1370), Yale (Valedictorian, 1310), USC (Co-Salutorian, 950; appealed her rejection and is now on academic probation there), UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD. We haven't had someone go to Stanford and Georgetown since 2000 and 1999, respectively; I hope to end that streak (already accepted to Georgetown).

kinglin, there's also websites for GPA/SAT combos and acceptances for arcadia h/s and stevenson h/s in california. would you like to see those?

You graduated from Arcadia HS kfc4u?

Arcadia sends the most students to UCs and I believe the Valedictorian two years back was a basketball player that got into Harvard. I went to a graduating ceremony for my friend who graduated from there in 2003.

Kfc4u could you please give me those links?

Thanks

And from what I've been shown so far isn't what I was looking for. There was some post a while back which showed pretty much the whole high school. Even students whom went to average schools and not just the top.

most people go in-state, like 10% to each U of M or MSU. last year, a girl with 1500ish/35 got into wharton. =) it was one of the "smart years" i guess.

jimmy goffredo went to .... la canada i believe? but not arcadia for sure. he was the basketball player who got a scholarship to harvard-- an article about him and his app essay were published in the LA times sports section too. unless there was a basketball player at arcadia who also got into harvard.

kinglin, i think these two links are what youre looking for ;)

btw eiffelguy87, i went to rowland high school... haha semi-arcadia i guess you could say.

okay actually he was from crescenta valley... they play in the same league as arcadia.

"6’1” combo-guard Jimmy Goffredo (Crescenta Valley) committed to Harvard, picking the Cambridge MA school over Holy Cross and several other Ivy League programs. Goffredo (an exceptional scorer)..."

is that who you're talking about?

No. He was from Arcadia high school, going to Harvard, valedictoria. It was the year Arcadia was CIF runner-up. My high school was the #1 that year for men's basketball. I think we were in the same league to. :)
