I shop pretty much anywhere I find something I like. Forever 21 has some cool stuff in their guys’ section (despite how tiny it is), JC Penney has some neat stuff, Hot Topic, even Target has occasional cool stuff.

Perfect .

Why are you guys ganging up on the A&F kid?!

I usually don’t shop at A&F, Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie etc because all the clothes look the same to me. I bought two jackets from one of those places, cant remember which, because it was freezing but that was about it.

I buy online. Weird indie stuff. Gap clothes are too big for me. I like Old Navy for bottoms and Forever 21 for tops and skirts. I like Urban Outfitters but it’s insanely expensive for a college kid. I cant even remember where I buy my shoes.

Forgot to add Lord & Taylor to my list. I could seriously move into that store and never leave.

ralph lauren, gap, banana republic, j crew, urban outfitters, american eagle for their jeans, occasionally H&M. absolutely love shopping at outlets.

hate: hollister and A&F

Love: Express, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Banana Republic, J Crew, Armani Exchange

Partial: Hollister, American Eagle

Hate: Abercrombie

At least AEs clothes are decent to good quality depending on what you buy. And the reason A&F and Hollister look the same is that they’re the same company.

AE, A&F, Hollister and A

I buy my clothes from Macy’s (sales/clearance rack), JCPenny, and TJ Maxx. I love TJ Maxx b/c they have some good stuff for cheap. I also don’t like clothes with labels/brands plastered on them.

I’m a very simple guy. I’m happy with some jeans and a button down shirt.

wow why do you guys all hate ANF? I actually work there and i love their clothes and I think the store smells amazing even though many people hate the smell of the store and the music’s loudness even though i feel it sets the atmosphere. I plan on buying clothes for 1st semester from ANF,hollister, ralph lauren, and lacoste. I hate aeropostale (its cheap imo) and american eagle even though its not as bad as aero imo.

Because instead of paying $70 for one shirt, I could buy two weeks worth of food. :D

ANF is the same **** you pay 1/4 the price for anywhere else but uglier and with a heaping spoonful of pretension.

There’s nothing enjoyable about 80dB of crappy music.

I don’t hate AF; I just think the quality is horrendous. It’s cheap.
Plus it reminds me of twelve year-olds. I like to wear big kid clothes.

To all the A&F/Hollister lovers: Would you wear a shirt with the same fabric, cut, font, etc., if it said “Walmart” over the chest instead of “Abercrombie” or “Hollister”? It seems you care about the brand, not the actual product. (I understand those who get shirts there without the brand name, just not those who get products with the equivalent of a billboard across the chest.)

I shop at a variety of places. H&M, American Apparel, Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom, J Crew, Anthropologie. I’ve made several skirts from scratch, and made shorts from a pair of jeans at a thrift store. It’s fun to find deals on good quality clothes!

It depends what I’m buying. In general:

Tops/hoodies: Zumiez for their printed t-shirts (I like skulls), Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, and Burlington Coat Factory. They seem to have the best deals and I always find shirts that fit my aesthetic, which is basically things that are comfortable but have a flattering fit with neat designs that I enjoy looking at.

Bottoms: Sears and JC Penney pretty much always, because they have the best size selections. I’m oddly proportioned and I have a hard time finding jeans elsewhere.

Sneakers: Journeys or Zumiez. I like skater shoes.

I’m very particular about what I buy, so I do not know the meaning of one-stop shopping. :)

Nothing beats plain t-shirts from Old Navy. I’m currently wearing a plain white t-shirt and I love it.

thrift stores for t-shirts, buckle for jeans (the only place where they fit me correctly), forever 21 for dresses/shirts, rack room shoes for sandals. as well as target and random boutiques.

yes i do love the brand name bc i feel like its popular. And if its made so ****ty, why do people shell out money and how does the business run if no one likes the brand? And btw hollister is for kids while anf is for 18-22 year olds. and $70 is a lot? you should work more if $70 is a lot.

As a high school or college student? For one item? Heck yeah, that’s a lot. I can think of better things to spend $70 bucks on.

“and $70 is a lot? you should work more if $70 is a lot.”

What the hell? I’m not rich. And since I pay for everything myself I’d rather eat and pay tuition than buy some ****ty shirt with a logo on it.
