Where do you buy your clothes?

well i’m not rich either.

$70 is definitely a lot (depending on the item)! And I work about 32 hours a week and get $8.76/hour. For a t-shirt, $70 is outrageous. For a winter jacket, that’s a great deal!

I agree with all of that. ^

And most A&F shirts are not walking billboards. That’s a major difference from Aero and American Eagle. Both of those stores are significantly cheaper and have their name all over the clothes. This is especially true of Aero. Hollister is much less, since it’s basically A&F, $10-$20 cheaper, and more beach-style.

I agree about the graphic tees. I don’t own any and I don’t like the style.

Think about it this way, a polo or button down shirt usually has one thing on it: the small emblem on the upper left of the front. That’s where the “polo player” from Polo Ralph Lauren is, and therefore most other companies did the same thing with their polo shirts. These are the things I buy, and the jeans. Heck, my dermatologist was once wearing the same shirt as me one day when I went in for an appointment. Just a dark blue button down shirt, but I noticed the Moose emblem on it, so I knew it was A&F. Nobody would call that a walking billboard.

I don’t buy any of the stuff that makes you look like a walking billboard, which really only includes the graphic tees.

And the material is high quality, for the price. Most polo shirts are around $60 and most button down shirts are $70 or $80. These are not going to be near the quality of a $120 or $200 shirt (or higher) from an upscale place. It’s not trying to be Neiman Marcus or anything. It’s trying to offer clothes of quality to people in their price range. If you want some complete crap material, check out the $10 shirts at Aeropostale or Wal-Mart or something. Those are low quality materials. A&F is not.

And I work at A&F, make $7.25 an hour, get a 30% discount and I don’t consider anything in there overpriced. I buy all my clothes from there. I have done so for the last 2 years also, even when I didn’t work there or get a discount.

Dressing fly is only a part of who you are.
The rest is all inside ;)

love Urban Outfitters. Get most other stuff for Forever 21, Gap, Old Navy, and American Eagle.

Ross is straight thermogenic! I get all my threads there. Since im BIG on sports they have lots of nike dry fit shirts and shorts. Plus thy have such rare sneakers. I got sum nikes there last Christmas this guy offered me $125 for em but since they were the last pair i declined. But Ross can get you the most for your money.

I like A&F and Hollister for their quality of polos. I just wait for their clearance sales and usually get A&F and Hollister polos for $30 or $20. Great deal IMO.
For jeans and shorts, I buy them at AE, as I love their jeans!
Occasional visits to JCrew and Express for shirts and other various things.

High quality material at A&F! That’s funny. Aero is better quality, and a lot cheaper! It’s true that all their tees and such have Aero written all over, but the tanks and dresses don’t, and they’re really cute!

A 30% discount is only good when it actually brings the price down to a reasonable level. At PacSun you get a 30% discount, but things there aren’t ridiculously priced to begin with. (No $60 shirts)! And $7.25 is **** (that’s the reason I quit PacSun, I was getting $7.15/hour there and $8.50 at Best Buy). But you know, I would never work for such a racist company anyway. And yes, I did just go there.

TJMaxx usually has Ralph Lauren polos cheap, and sometimes I get socks and undershirts there. I pick up a lot of t-shirts at concerts, and pants from wherever they’re relatively cheap. I’ve always bought my shoes off of zappos since I started paying for them myself.

But I’m a guy. Most guys clothes are large enough to write “AERO” all over in large letters. I don’t think there is one thing in that store on the guy’s side that doesn’t have Aeropostale or AERO written on it. Really. Even the boxer shorts have it ALL OVER the waistband.

And the fit is terrible too. Too baggy. That’s the real reason I stopped shopping there. I hardly notice the quality difference actually, except A&F is much thicker and ultrasoft, which I attribute to the sueded cotton.

(Actually, the fact that I’m a guy may be playing into this argument. I don’t know much at all about the girls’s clothes or how they compare to other stores. Anybody who has been disagreeing with me, and is a girl, may be right about the quality or fit.)

So don’t shop at Aero. It doesn’t make your store any better!

LMAO. Listen, kid; loving the brand name because it’s popular is pretty sad, and a poor reflection of you. Why do people shell out the money? Because the people who think they’re popular and rich buy that crap and wear it, when in reality, they look ridiculous and are not remotely wealthy. Just an FYI, but this isn’t high school anymore. People in college know how to dress and I dont mean trashy A&F clothing. Looking like a walking billboard doesn’t get you cool points in college like it did in HS; people are just laughing at how absurd you look. Get some style.

I would spend (and have spent) $70 on one item from Lacoste before but I will NEVER spend that much for A&F.

And Aero is absolutely absurd. I hate it.

I thank the affluent people of my town for donating their gently used clothes to thrift stores.

Nothing beats paying $5 for a well made pair of jeans.

people still wear A&F? lol. the sad thing is that the muscle fit fits really good and the material is soft. Just garbage looking otherwise.

American Eagle, Forever 21 (regarding earlier posts, I’ve also never had any problem w/ my clothing from there), Buckle, Threadless tees, and Maurices (I’ll only wear Silver jeans…it’s the only thing I splurge on). I dislike shirts with logos but it’s usually possible to find things without logos. One exception: I LOVE Hollister hoodies but find a hard time finding them without logos…pretty annoying. As mentioned, Aeropostale is covered in logos. I refuse to even go in unless I’m with friends and they want to look. For shoes, Toms or cute flats from any of the above mentioned stores. Flip flops in the summer.

T Shirts at Threadless, Enclothe, etc.
Polos at American Eagle, Ralph Lauren
Shorts at Pac Sun, American Eagle, Dickies.
Jeans at Pac Sun, American Eagle
Dickies black pants.
Adidas black gym shorts (love the white stripes)

I wouldn’t take one step into an A&F or Hollister. I refuse to associate with that store or anyone who shops there.

Anyways, I pretty much buy all my stuff from GAP. Running clothes are also an option.

Threadless t-shirts FTW. Forgot to mention that. Anyone who wears threadless is a friend in my book.

^Hey friend! I’m actually designing some stuff right now for a contest on there.

New shirts tomorrow on Threadless!
