<p>I start my first job tomorrow as a lifeguard. </p>
<p>I'm somewhat nervous. Hopefully, I don't have to rescue anyone on the very first day.</p>

<p>I have a friend who is head lifeguard at a very large recreation complex in my county and she’s never had to seriously save anybody (though, if you’re working at a beach it’s different). She mostly has to deal with evacuations when toddlers can’t hold it any longer…</p>
<p>I got this one job and it’s just so boring, I practically get paid to yawn and almost but not really fall asleep on the spot.</p>

<p>I’m a part time stand-up comedian, but I have a regular job at Kumon and the corner of 6th and Vine selling crack.</p>
<p>I could land a potential job working at AC Moore … But the thing is, the only position available for taking is a 5AM - 9AM shift. I REALLY want a job, not only for the money, but to keep myself busy and not be a lazy bum my entire summer. Should I take it?! The store’s not even open at 5AM so it’s probably a cleaning and preparing up job. Sounds way too early to be waking up on summer break, but I think I’m desperate.</p>

So I just stay home all day working on my Novels and Poems and SAT practice</p>
<p>I work as a tennis coach to little kids in the summer and on weekends.</p>

<p>Coste - I’m working at a city pool. </p>
<p>First day was today. And I’m already freakin’ out and then 300 kids from a camp come all at once. And yes, I did have to rescue someone. I was nervous as hell.</p>
<p>It’s quite funny because right as I went to change into my guard uniform and saw all those kids come in, I thought, “God, you have a funny sense of humor. My very first day. I hope I don’t have to save anyone.”

<p>My friend was a lifeguard for 3 years and she said she had a lot of fun! She got skin cancer at 18 though so make sure you use sunscreen!</p>
<p>I work at Nordstrom in the Lingerie department. I luv it. (:</p>
<p>Sandrock, how old are you? I love Nordstrom and really want to work in a department store part time (obvi), but I worry I’m too young… Turning 16 in Nov.</p>
<p>I tutor middle and high schoolers in math, chemistry, and French. I charged $25/hour my junior year, but I think I might step it up to $30 next year if the demand is high.</p>
<p>Intern at a law firm! It’s pretty cool.</p>
