<p>some schools have storage available on campus. a lot of students here use local storage facilities, or just take everything home. or just stay for summer like i did! your friends will love you because you can hold onto stuff for them for summer. i.e. i have my friend's really nice leather desk chair for the summer because it was too big to take home in his car.</p>

<p>I think it varies from college to college. If yours doesn't offer any sort of furnishing, remember to take room size into account, because otherwise you'd be bringing too much stuff.</p>
<p>the college will have the desk, desk chair, bed, dresser most likely. And 2 of each of those, doesn't really leave much room for your own furniture.</p>
<p>I'm sure there will be a local storage place that will start advertizing in April that they can come to school and pick your stuff up and keep it there over the summer.</p>
