Where are you most productive and get the most work done? I have a hard time concentrating in my room, I need to find a place that works better for me.

I do pretty well in the library. When I lived in Hawaii, I studied on the beach. Now, i have to find a new spot:)

Library, or you can always find an empty classroom to study in as long as you know there won’t be an other classes being taught in there during the day.

Conversely enough, I actually PREFER studying in my room. I’ve always had an increased level of productivity and interest if I’m in a place of comfort and familiarity - and while not exactly ideal, my dorm room is as close as it gets. In high school, I used to just let the clock tick by during in-class work with the intention of doing it at home. That was where my best work came to fruition without fail. I do frequent the library (the old, quieter library at my school) for solo work on occasion, but go to the main library nevertheless for group study/work or if my dorm’s decibel level is trending towards annoying :P

I’ve never been too big with the coffee shop thing, but my friends always insists on studying that starbucks or something. I really like studying at libraries, but if it’s way too quiet then that’s weird. Studying in my room is a good option, too. I can’t study outside in the sun, though. Who wants to study on a nice day? Too many distractions lol.

In the cafe because there are a lot of people and it forces me to focus on my work.

Where ever I can find that is quiet…not always a library…sometime in my room.

I do my reading in my room unless it’s a horribly dense text that I’m having trouble getting through, in which case I go to the library. For papers, I normally do my layout and prepare quotes/mark specific pages in the library, then write in my room.

Since I commute to and from campus, I prefer to study in my room. I love studying in libraries from time to time, but when especially working on papers and any other intensive projects, I enjoy being in the solitude of my own room with my books and with my classical music.

I have done smaller assignments in coffee shops (e.g. Starbucks) before, but it can be nearly impossible to focus even with headphones because coffee shops tend to always be bustling with people. The only thing that I ever tend to read when I go to a coffee shop is the newspaper.

As for research and finding sources for papers/projects, I definitely hide out in libraries. I’m quite the archive digger!

Library. It just works for me.

It depends on the subject. I also like to move around a lot. The library is nice for reading literature or doing accounting. I need noise and music to write speeches or do creative assignments so I do those in my room. Generally my room is where I do my work, but the library helps break up the monotony.

I usually do all my homework from my bed in my dorm room haha… Sounds weird, but it’s just comfortable and I kinda prefer having noise when I do work.

My bed, doors closed, no noise at all. I like the library as well, but some people just don’t understand the “no talking policy” (which is fine). I find it easier to study in the comfort of my own room/home, where I can take small breaks and just walk around to clear my head.

I feel most comfortable in my room, but then it allows me to be distracted all too easily and before I know it I find myself procrastinating on websites just like this

Studying in my room, or deep at night in the library.

I like my room best because I have no worries.

I like studying alone: library carrel or in my room

I can not study: outside - I have tried many times as there is a nice park and lake by my school, I just get distracted. Coffee Shop - too many distractions, I will actually start a conversation with a hobo if it means procrastinating on homework.

I love studying at coffee shops, though if I try to study there with friends, we never get anything done.

I like my room best, then the library. It’s just easier for me to study in my room cause I have a lot of my stuff around me and I feel more comfortable (and I have control over the temperature somewhat, so that’s nice compared to the library) When my roommates are having a bad day, then it’s usually library or common areas of my dorm and other buildings for me.

Library on the weekend
