<p>If you are ranked 1 in your class up until this point, where should you put it on your App? Under Academic awards? You don’t send transcripts to UC until you get accepted right? How do they know your class rank then?</p>
<p>In the Secondary School report, under Background Information, your GC fills in your class rank.</p>
<p>Does my GC automatically send in my transcripts to the UCs also? Does this mean I should not include this valedictorian status to UCs?</p>
<p>At UC's, grades are self-reported until admitted, so don't count on GC providing val status. If there is an academic awards section (I don't recall offhand), you could put it there.</p>
<p>The UCs don't request or use secondary school reports. If you are in-state, you were evaluated this summer for ELC status (are you ELC?) and they have your ranking on record. If you are out-of-state, you may want to mention your ranking in "Additional Comments" after the personal statement section.</p>
