Where do you think I should go?

My GPA is 3.6 but it's going up.
Hispanic
SAT was 1940, but predicted to be 2100+
I'm not going to go into depth about ECs, just know I have a TON of them. The more notable ones:
Founded a school club
Founded a nonprofit
2 years job experience
200+ community service hours
President of 2 clubs (maybe 3 if I win senior class)
1st place state chess champ back in middle school
Varsity Swimmer
2 year all-state marching band
(There's lots more, just don't feel like listing them)

Other things:
I write really amazing essays. Definitely be a strong point on the app
Really well developed social skills, will ace an interview
Lots of confidence

That's what I have to offer. Here's what I want:
Great academics
NOT a tiny cornfield; big city
5000+ people
Not just a school to party at, but also to get a good education. Balance of both.
In America.
Has a good engineering or computer science program
An attractive campus is a plus
Good social vibe
Good all around place to enjoy
Hopefully a highly selective school

My first choice is currently Rice. Here are my other choices. (I live in Texas)

UT
TAMU
UF
Tulane
USC

Now your turn. What do you suggest?

Case Western
Northeastern

Because you said you don’t want a tiny cornfield, what about a huge cornfield?

UIUC.

University of Maryland-College Park (not in a big city, but very close to DC)
University of Washington
University of Wisconsin-Madison

If you told us more about your GPA, we’ll be able to give you more recommendations. Can you breakdown your unweighed GPA for each year (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior). Also, next to each year, list the number of AP courses you took and your grade in those.

Rice sounds great. Take a look at UVa. too.

What can your family afford? Do you have any safeties. From your posted stats it doesn’t appear as though you rank in the top 7 or 10% of your class, meaning that admission to UT or TAMU will be difficult.

University of Minnesota
Loyola Marymount
CU Boulder
University of Pittsburgh
Georgia Tech
Boston University

Your class rank is very important for admission to Texas public universities.

Top 12%
Will be automatic to TAMU so that is a safety

Hispanic and from Texas: you may interest some reach schools that would be interested in geographic and cultural diversity. Try to see whether some of your “dream” schools have a lot of Hispanic students, if they don’t make sure to apply. Top schools are always looking for top-scoring under-represented minorities. This is assuming your SAT score will go up and your GPA as well, but most importantly assuming academic rigor in your curriculum. You should have Calculus, Physics, Computer Science at the AP level.
Suggestions:
GATech, VATech, UAlabama, Lehigh, Bucknell

TAMU is a safety as long as you know that you have all costs covered. Do you know how all costs will be surely covered?

Course schedule is as rigorous as possible, will have 9 APS when I graduate.
TAMU should be covered, inexpensive compared to most schools.

Baylor University. .It’s in Waco, Texas
