I currently am a high school junior and I was wondering if I had the chance of getting into Vanderbilt University.
Here are my stats:

ACT: 30 (however, I do plan on taking it again)
SAT: --
SAT II: --

Class Rank: 11/597
4.0 GPA

I am currently in the IB Program and I take the most difficult classes that are offered at my school.
Classes: IB English HL 1, IB Biology HL 1, IB Chemistry HL 1, IB Physics HL 1, Theory of Knowledge, Honors Spanish 4, IB Mathematics SL, and IB Psychology SL (the maximum number of classes allowed in my school is 8)

Extracurriculars/volunteering (currently):

Varsity Debate - won numerous trophies
Politics Club
Spanish Honor Society
Spanish Club
Math Club - attended some math competitions as well
Personal Tutor (currently tutor one student but I used to tutor 2)
Volunteer at 2 Hospitals
IB

EC's (past years)
Robotics (there were some issues that the team leader faced)
Swim Team
MYP
Numerous volunteer places
etc..

That is just the main things that I have done. However, I do not include the maximum hours for each.

I’m thinking of asking for recs from my IB chemistry teacher as well as my IB English teacher. I assume that they will be fantastic. As for my writing, I believe I can write well enough to be accepted if I put enough effort.

If your essays and recommendations are strong and if you stress your meaningful accomplishments in your ECs well, you’ll be in for plenty of acceptances at the top universities. When you write about your ECs, pick one or two to really emphasize - the list is for your resume, not your essays.

Overall, you’re in an excellent position. Good luck with the IB (surviving that junior year can be rough…) and with admissions :)
