haha spanks dont be mean--hes just insecure about his college choice. i was insecure for a couple of months right after i applied ED if i'd made the right choice as well.

Ya same it's taken me a week or two to be sure that I made the right choice. Lots of second guessing and what-ifs, but there is no where else I'd rather go next fall so I'm good.

this forum helped me feel really good about ending up at cornell though =p

"Oh yeah...about bball...one thing I don't get is how he has the right to complain about people not being smart enough at Cornell when he isn't even at the top of our class..."

Yeah, that baffles me every time he complains.

HARVARD AND PRINCETON TIED FOR FIRST ALL THE OPINIONS IN THE WORLD DONT CHANGE THAT. CORNELL AND MICH TIED FOR 13. IN MY OPINION VANDERBILT IS NUMBER 1. BUT WHO CARES READ THE LIST AND WEEP -

Umm...the post was asking for rankings relative to other Ivies.
Cornell and JHU, not Mich, are tied for 13.
USNews isn't everything, anyway.

Besides, Cornell>>>Vanderbilt ;)

Caps lock is cruise control for cool, man.
Err tied with JHU you mean?

And besides . . I think we all know of the USNWR rankings . . .

I'm from Australia and someone has once told me that Stanford was in the Ivy League :s .

I would rank it as Harvard, Princeton, and yale. Followed by Upenn, Cornell, Columbia and dart/brown.

HYP is self explanatory. Upenn I put up there purely because of Wharton. It's a flagship college and doesn't seem to have any real rival when it comes to business. Ironically more people I've met have heard of Wharton but not the UPenn it belongs to.

Cornell is just Cornell. Very strong overall but quite large, and I hear Ithaca's winter is especially brutal... Engineerin is best in Ivy league they say- but still no MIT, Berkeley or Stanford.

Columbia? Heh- "isn't that the drug smuggling cartel country". Thats most people's reaction to the word Columbia. No further explanation nessasary.

Brown/Dartmouth? Seriously- I haven't heard of them before and I can understand why. Like its rankings in pretige would be in the middle of the list- far away from what anyone would care to notice. Same with Dartmouth.

sorry my error and sorry about the caps. er tower I can appreciate how you feel about cornell but VANDERBILT IS THE NUMBER ONE PARTY SCHOOL IN THE SOUTH!

i did ask about rankings in relation to other schools, and mrromantic thanks for that. vanderbilt, hmm. to each his own.

Actually, I'd give that honor to maybe FSU or another large public...

Caps lock abuse.

Vandy might be fun, but it's definitely not the #1 party school of the south.

In the United States, it's hard to get any more ancient than the Ivy League. Known by insiders as the Ancient Eight, the Ivy League's earliest member, Harvard, was established nearly 150 years before the signing of the Declaration of Independence ADD Princeton Yale Brown Cornell Dartmouth Columbia Penn. That is the only IVY LEAGUE. Stanford and MIT and who knows who are good schools but NOT IVY LEAGUE. THATS IT NOBODY CARES WHAT ANYONES OPINION IS. ITS A FACT.

We're aware...

you're pretty random dude

yea, I'd say so, lol.

i was explaining for the dude in Australia. Also Spanks please rank for me party schools in the south. Thank you.

Then again, so are these boards . . .

If you look at the huge threads, they've basically devolved into "R Cronell guyz N gurlz hot or not? lolz" threads . . .

Such anger.... Relax dude  It's all good here at Cornell

Actually, I'd rather not, but Princeton Review will. You're welcome.
