<p>It would behoove you to start the applications now, IMHO. I mean, if I get deferred/rejected after the 10th, I wouldn't really feel up to starting a bunch of other apps... And it'd be rather late to ask your teachers for recs/counselors for school reports (I suppose you could beg them to do it in the few days before Winter Break...).</p>
