I am a senior in high school, I have around a 3.2 gpa and 1570 sat score. M: 480 CR: 530 W: 560. I know those are both low but I just retook the SAT and feel like I did a lot better. And my gpa is low because I had a 1.8 my freshman year due to family issues but then my sophomore year I got a 3.8 and have kept it above a 3.7 since. I currently have a 4.0 and take rigorous college classes. The past 2 years I have taken very challenging classes. I have very strong extracurriculars and work experience. I plan on majoring in Political Science. I have already applied to a few schools, such as Michigan State and Indiana University, but I am curious as to where else I should maybe apply where I have a good chance at getting accepted!
You’re OOS for at least one of those schools. What are your parents saying about how much they’ll pay?
Going to IU or MSU as an OOS student would be expensive for your parents…unless they’ll happily pay all costs.
What is your home state?
Once you tell us how much your parents will pay, then we can make better recommendations.
Your parents’ budget will determine where you should apply.
