Where Else Should I Apply?

At this point, I’ve been looking heavily into Tulane and University of Virginia. I want to study business, particularly finance, and am looking for schools that are fairly reputable for undergraduate business. I prefer a school that I would get some scholarship money to go to. A chance for the two aforementioned schools plus suggestions for other schools to apply to are welcomed. Here are my stats:

White male
Come from a very prestigious public school in New Jersey, approximately 80 in the nation according to Newsweek
I transferred to the school my freshman year as a tuition student, so I was completely new to the area and my classes I had taken in middle school were far less advanced than the courses the typical student was taking at my age, so I needed to do a lot of catching up. (Which is why my course load my freshman year is completely different than that of my Junior year)
Intended Major: Double Major with Business and Spanish

GPA: 98.67 – weighted, translates to roughly a 4.4 on 5.0 scale
SAT: 2090 (CR: 720 W: 690 M: 680)
ACT: 33 (single sitting, 32 E, 32 M, 33 S, 33 W) – this was the second time, my first time I received a 32 but with 34s in E and W
SATII: US - 720, Chem - 670, Lit - 690

Classes:
*Freshman - Advanced Alg 2 (A), CP Global Issues (A), Spanish I (A+), Honors English 9 (B+), CP Biology (A)
Sophomore - Honors English 10 (A+), Honors Chemistry (A-), Spanish II (A+), CP U.S. History I (A+), Advanced Probability, Statistics, and Trigonometry (A+), Advanced Geometry (A)
Junior - Honors Precalculus (B), Honors English 11 (A), AP Chemistry (B), AP U.S. History (B), Honors Spanish 4
(A)
Senior (Intended) - Honors Physics, AP Literature and Composition, AP Gov, AP Calc AB, AP Spanish

**My previous school didn’t offer a Spanish program or a higher math program, so I needed to take basic level Spanish and Math that year. Also, I was told that it wasn’t a good idea to take too many honors classes in this school upon arrival, so I took classes that were too easy. Note the gradual moving up in each class
*Took Spanish III over the summer

Thank you for your consideration.

I think you have an excellent shot as a strong applicant! Tulane and UVA would be lucky to have you. Have you looked at Dartmouth? I would possibly look there too, as they do boast great business and foreign language programs.

@writer80 Thank you! I’ll definitely check Dartmouth out.

Pro tip…Tulane likes to see demonstrated interest.

Columbia might be a high match or reach school for you! you could also look at Georgetown (I can’t recall if they offer a business program, but it is in a great location for people who want to look for jobs/internships).

@Bigchipper Do you suggest contacting a professor in finance as a way to demonstrate interest?

Just received my AP Scores back. Ended up with a 5 on U.S. and a 3 on Chem. Let me know if that changes anything, and any other input would be appreciated.
