Where else should I look?

Bio - 560 (I know, I know...it was freshman year.)</p>

9th: Math 2H
10th: Math 3H, Spanish 3H
11th: Math 12H (honors precalc), English 11H, Spanish 4H, AP US History
12th: AP Bio, AP Macroecon, AP Spanish, AP English Lit, AP Calc BC, possibly French 3H</p>

<p>ECs:
School newspaper (10th = writer, 11th = entertainment copy editor, 12th = managing/copy editor)
Nat'l Honor Society (President)
Tutoring club for students at the middle school (founder and co-president)
Camp counselor for 4 summers (volunteered one year)
Studying French independently and hoping to take it next year as well</p>

<p>I'm a white female from New York (suburbs). I moved from Houston, TX when I was 13 if it matters. I go to a high-ranking public HS. They don't rank students, but my counselor's guess is that I'm in the top 7%.</p>

<p>I've pretty much taken the most rigorous courses offered. Thus far, if I get any B's in high school, it'll probably be this year for physics, but it would definitely be 88 or 89.</p>

<p>I want to major in either linguistics, Spanish, or int'l relations. I'm looking for a suburban or rural school in the South, MidAtlantic, or New England. So far I've loved UVA, Tufts, W&M, and Georgetown.</p>

<p>I would look into the following (although without knowing whether you have a preference for large or small or whether you would prefer a liberal or more conservative atmosphere, this list is probably overinclusive)</p>

<p>Vanderbilt (reach)
Emory
Bucknell
Lehigh
Tulane
Penn State (match/safety)
George Washington (match/safety)</p>

<p>I also second the suggestions of Colgate, Middlebury and for a reach, Dartmouth and possibly Duke.</p>

<p>After visiting, if you had any interest in Penn State, I would advise applying very early, as it has rolling admissions.</p>
