"Where fun goes to die?"

I recently read an article on betcheslovethis.com and It basically said cornell is very boring and is not fun at all. Obviously this article probably isn't very accurate but I would like to know what you think! Thanks:)

Hey I am an undergraduate at Cornell and I would like to say that it isn’t boring here at all. You have 600+ clubs to join and enough work-load to keep you busy. Besides that Ithaca is a beautiful city and you have your friends. So, there goes your chance to be bored!

Yeah, I agree with maha. There is so much stuff to do here, I dont think it’s possible to do everything in 4 years! :)

Also, I thought that phrase was associated with UChicago? (Not saying thats true, but I’ve definitely heard more people refer to UChicago as the place where fun goes to die)

^ I’ve heard the exact same sentiment about UChicago. Supposedly the students pride themselves on the school’s “fun goes to die” mindset but disagree at the same time; everyone’s just really serious about their studies. I haven’t heard anything like that about Cornell, though…

Oh, awsome. Thanks! I don’t know about u of chicago but I just read it:) just google betches love this college cornell

Obviously that phrase isn’t literally true about Cornell. For most Cornell students, it’s probably the most fun 4 years of their lives. That said, the academic intensity is generally higher than other schools. I had quite a few friends who partied hard, but when not partying, spent long hours in the library.

Among Cornell students, the phrase we generally say is “Work hard, party harder.” And usually with the (sarcastic) implication that the partying is super intense to match the work ethic.
