Where have non matched finalists been accepted?

Hey all!

I thought I’d start a discussion about where QuestBridge’s non matched finalists have been accepted so far. After going through the match process and not being selected by any of my schools I was worried I had done all of that work for nothing (I was SO wrong). Hopefully this thread will be useful for those in the same position next year…

So far I’ve been accepted to:
Rice
Pomona College
USC
Davidson
Emory

and the following non QB schools: Cornell, Boston College, UCLA, UCSD, UC Irvine

My son has been accepted at Northwestern and Amherst, wait listed at Notre Dame and Chicago, and rejected by MIT.

Amherst’s FA package left us with a cost of $900 over our FAFSA EFC…basically $57,000 worth of grants and scholarships. He would have never applied to, or visited (at their expense) Amherst without Questbridge.

Congrats on your acceptances! I’m also a finalist who didn’t match.

For QuestBridge schools, I’ve been accepted to Yale, Rice, UChicago, and Northwestern. I was also wait listed at Pomona, Tufts, and Brown.

Outside of QB, I got into Smith (with an early acceptance letter!), Loyola Chicago, and U of I Urbana.

Congrats @kuleczka! Where do you think you’ll end up? My final list of schools ended up being:

QuestBridge:
Rice
Pomona College
USC
Davidson
Emory
Scripps
Northwestern
Dartmouth
Trinity
Vassar
Wesleyan

Non QuestBridge: Cornell, Johns Hopkins (gave me everything but $1000), Boston College, UCLA, UCSD, and Lafayette.

I’ve got Dartmouth, Pomona, Northwestern, Cornell, and USC in my top 5, but I really think it will come down to Pomona and Dartmouth. I wish I had more than a month to decide…

@nebhar97‌ I’m about 99% sure I’ll pick Yale. Though if I hadn’t gotten into Yale, Rice would be my top choice. You’ve got some incredible choices! Good luck wherever you end up going!
