Neurotic parent here:

Looking at some old threads it seems that many applicants have a "folder pulled, committee read" on their list of documents received.

Son does not have this on his list, although does have "app complete" and admission score report form. Not sure if this is something he should pursue with the admissions office or just leave alone for now? For background: reasonably strong candidate to scs and mcs, 35 act; 800 multiple math/sci sat 2; 5 on various AP's, some state awards and one national.

Thanks for any thoughts/advice!

I have the “app complete” but not the “folder pulled committee read.” Like your son, I have a 35 SAT,700s on Math II, physics and U.S history SAT iis, a bunch of AP classes including more this year and some awards. Maybe it means we were already admitted by the initial admission officer and our applications didn’t go to the committee for discussion … or rejected

Thanks for your reply!

I guess just leave it alone for now and see what happens. Good luck with this process!

No “folder pulled, committee read” here either.

i was admitted under the ED plan and I only had the committee read on that page for like a week or so. Then it disappeared! So maybe if you have not been checking it super often, you may have just missed it! I would not worry. :)

What date do you all have for your app complete? Mine says Jan 16th, 2012. I feel that if they put it up that early on, they don’t mean they’re done reviewing my application, but merely that they have all the required materials they need to begin reviewing.

My application was “complete” January 12th. It almost certainly means that they just have all your stuff.
