Hi everyone, I have 2.5ish gpa as right now. Wondering where I can go with this grades, am trying to bring it up to 3.3 when I transfer.

Summer

Psychology 1 C
College Algebra A

GPA: 3.1

Fall
English 92 B
English 93 D (need to retake, 92+93 are combined into 1 course because the school want to speed up the process.)

Art History B
Microeconomic C

GPA: 2.25, retake Eng 93 will bring it up to 3.0 if I get an A.

So what schools I could get in with this grades? I'm looking into smaller school, preferably less than 7k people. I'm living in cali, and don't mind going to east if I need to.

Are these Community college classes?

Are your english classes remedial? If they are, they probably won’t transfer, and you’ll probably need to take college level classes.

Thanks for the reply Dexpress. Yes, they are all CC grades and I need to take English up to 1A/1B maybe 1C. I’m majoring in science, so my grades will be alot higher after I take those classes. should I repeat the C’s to raise up my GPA? As right now I only have 2 C’s and 1D which I’m gonna repeat this semester.

I would say not to repeat classes you’ve taken, but to instead take other classes and try getting A’s and B’s in them. Re-taking classes would be a waste of time unless you flat out failed them imho.

You can’t repeat grades of Cs or higher for a better grade. Just repeat the class you got a D in which will bump up your GPA and then focus on getting as many As as you can
