Where is everyone from? (and such)

Just curious. ^^ Sorry if I’m repeating an earlier thread.

I’m from NYC/Missouri/Alabama (terrible combo, no?) but I’ve lived in a few other places for very short amounts of time.

I’m applying RD, and freaking out with stress (hence this post).

I'm from Beantown (nickname for "Boston") ! I'm nervous too, especially since I haven't seen the school but I have faith, if I get in, I'm hoping on the first amtrack to brynmawr, PA. Good Luck!

p.s. I think everyone has posted a thread more then once. (lol)

I'm RD, too, from South Central Mass. I swear, every time I go to school and see everyone else's acceptances, I freak out a little bit more! So you're not alone, firefly. :)

What are you all thinking about studying?

I feel the same! I thought it was just me; phew! I'm thinking about double majoring in biology and africana studies.

I have no idea, really~
I think maybe something English/History related? Linguistics looks interesting, depending on which college I go to. Maybe a foreign language? Journalism?

What about you?

I'm into English/writing-related stuff, but I'm trying to keep myself really open to other avenues. I don't think I'll ever stop writing for myself, though, so it seems to make sense to do it for a major if I want to do it anyway...linguistics, that's cool, a relative of mine is a retired linguistics/german professor so I hear a lot about that in casual conversation. :)

I'm from a small town in Maine. hoping to major in art history with a french or english minor. but the film studies program at bryn mawr is pretty cool, too

I'm from... a small town (Targoviste) in cough cough Romania. I'm not sure about my major (but the double major in Math/Dance is deffff interesting) but it will surely concern one(s) of the following: Math, Economics, Psychology.

I'm from a pretty big town in Connecticut. I'm a RD applicant... gotta admit I also have a case of the post-application jitters.
I visited Bryn Mawr in October, but all the students were on break. The campus was gorgeous though, and this awesome security guard ended up giving me a tour. haha.
I want to do English/Writing related stuff... creative writing in particular, though I may try out journalism. Film studies sounds pretty interesting.
Romania, wow! It's so cool to see what a wide breadth of the world Bryn Mawr attracts :)

I am from Glendale Arizona and want to go into Poli Sci and International relations!

Hahaha, that was probably the most exciting shift that the public safety officer had in a while :) No, seriously, the campus is so safe that our campus security staff is constantly bored. And it is totally worth making friends with public safety - they can give you a ride back to your dorm in the rain, unlock academic buildings at night so that you can go pee, keep your company when you have 15 minutes to kill before class etc. I don't know what I would do without Public Safety :D

Wow... so many people are interested in English. ;) I'm guilty of that, too. Prospective English major! But lately, I've been getting really interested in linguistics, pre-law, and political sci.

Northern Virginia, btw!

Austin, TX, and RD! Into Poli Sci, International Relations, Justice & Peace, etc. We'll see, heh.

distance from Bucharest to Glendale = 6451 miles/10380 kilometers.

O.O

(oh, and I know you said Targoviste, but apparently Romanians don't use geobytes.com enough for them to bother adding any city save the capital. Obviously, the numbers are a bit off as a result.)

^ The difference isn't though big: Targoviste is less than 100 kilometers away of Bucharest ;)

Dhaka, Bangaldesh here. wow, so many of you are interested in English and politics and such :) I am mostly applying for Physics/mathematics/Computer studies kind of thing...love BMC though...

umm...so which way around the globe should I even be calculating here...?

I quit. You win, astrophoenix. XD

I'm from PA, about two hours away from Bryn Mawr.

Claire1016- Lucky! Boston is soo boring sometimes, if I get into Bryn Mawr (key word "if") I definetly want to check out Pennsylvania!

:D I am on the complete opposite side of the globe firefly, whichever way you go
