Where Is It Gonna Be If Columbia Doesn't Work Out?

GW is my second also

hahaha a&m SWAMPS me with mail. it's ridiculous. you could probably feed a country from the money for postage.

NYU probably..me and 40 billion other people....international, intergalctical. whatever. Who DOESN'T apply to NYU?

god knows.. everyone seems tooo!!! even the olsen twinsss... rolls eyes

Chicago, Northwestern, UPenn, and....NYU (lol yes everyone and their dog applies)

haha nyu, me too!

Barnard, Northwestern, Chicago, Dartmouth, COrnell, Carnegie Mellon, Rutgers

did u guys actually like NYU?
i didnt get the feel for it even after i went on a tour and went for an info session...
i dont like the whole "the city is our campus" deal..

and im realllylyyyy skeptical bout barnard... cus if we columbia ED girls get a BIG R from columbia.. do u think we'd really want to go to barnard.. with our old dreams right in front of our face... ? i think i may be quite bitter...
but neway this is my college list:
Columbia ED.... Chicago, Barnard, NYU, Wellesley, Wesleyan, Yale, Brown, Claremont McKenna, Skidmore

When I went to NYU for Sunday @ the Square, I was pretty thrown off by the whole "porous to the city" notion. Then I went down there at night once last month to visit a friend, and believe it or not, it looked pretty nice.

oh ok, so NYU's not completely out the windown then.. ah ok..
Oh meaning to ask.. do you under-21 people go clubbing?
I hear manhattan's really strict with all of that... and if u get caught with a fake ID you're dead.. no?

actually if you are 18 you can get in anywhere, and as long as you are in, it's pretty much a free for all from there

ahhhh ok thats cool. but what bout the whole 21 is legal age for drinking?

So I guess everyone on the east coast applies to NYU? Here on the west coast, everyone and their mother applies to Stanford. Especially at my school.

yes and me and my goldfish like pink. whats with the "and dog.." "and mother"!! its oh so random.

Whoa...never even thought my thread would be so popular.. =)

I almost loathe NYU...i know Columbia doesn't have the best of the dorms (hehe) but did anyone even SEE NYU's? HOLY CRAP. (literally) NYU is a bit too much "in your face" in comparision with Columbia.

So I guess I'm the outcast here who's not applying to NYU (I'm only 25 minutes away).

Anyways, if Columbia doesn't work out for me, I got a full ride waiting for me at Stevens...is anybody applying there or even heard of it? LOL.

but isn't stanford the hARDEST most impossible school to get into? why does EVERYonNE apply there?

stevens institue of technology! hoboken, nj

haha, im going with a full ride a nj or NJIT. but praying for CU

oh silver wavez i totally know what you mean about going RD barnard... that will be pretty tough. but then again, iguess it'll feel like the same thing, because of mixed classes close campuses etc.

yes the whole nyc is our campus thing for nyu seems a little bit questionable, and obviously we all prefer columbia. columbia has suuuccch a pretty campus :-)
on a completely unrelated note, nyu has this really high suicide rate...

Contessa: see thread on the Barnard board.

"columbia has suuuccch a pretty campus"

yeah, I love the fact that Columbia still manages to keep that campus feel in such an urban city...does anybody know colleges that have a great campus in a VERY urban city? I can't think of many.

Supposedly University of Chicago does
