where is my fat letter?

I got my decision online on March 25.. .But still haven't received anything in mail. Anything wrong? My status page says that the letter was mailed on March 22... aahhhhhhh

mail can be silly. Don't fret. You can probably log in to my.cmu.edu and do all the housing now, if you want.

On the status page, does it say that the "FAT letter" is mailed?

Because on my page it just says that the decision notification was mailed. (I found out that i was accepted online).

And if it's not called the FAT letter, why are people typing it in capital letters and calling it the FAT letter? (because the envelope is big?).

I'm intel and I forgot to fax in the I-want-notificaition-by-fedex thing so it seems like I'm getting it by courier economy.. it sayd that it will take 3 weeks.. What if I dont get it by May 1st?? (I was accep[ted sometime around about Mar 22).

I am worried about the same thing as NoFX. I did send in the FedEx thing, but only after my decision was available online (which was 4 days after they mailed the decision).

From the previous mailings that CMU has done to me, regular mail will take about 2.5 to 3 weeks to reach here. So that puts my current expected date to about second week of April.

How can I access my.cmu.edu? it needs a username and password.

the reason people are typing the FAT in capital letters is that the folder comes and on the front it literally says:
This is the F A T letter. And the "FAT" part is large and in PLAID! It is a very cool thing to get in the mail.

I've had mine for 1 1/2 weeks but still don't have my FA letter.

My neighbor back when I was in elementary school used to get our mail sometimes and he was pretty old (in his 80s I think) so he never understood that it was not his mail so he threw it out or kept it for himself. I finally found out once when our family went over to his house and I saw one of my report cards on his table of mail (we get sent a copy as well as handed a copy of our grade reports) so our famly finally realized why we never got stuff like the official mailed report cards or some of our preliminary bills.

Mail happens...

Ok, I am a bit worried now. I still haven't received anything in the mail. I hope they haven't messed up my Mailing and Permanent addresses. They have sent me mail before, and it reached in about 2 weeks (noting from the dispatch date in the "Where am I in the process" and the receiving stamp on the letter). but for the FAT, its been almost 4 weeks now.

Can anyone provide me with a number to call regarding mail to international students? I probably do some finding myself now too.

Umm.. it is like, 25th of april, and I still dont have my fat letter.. (im an international student)..It says that my decision notification was sent on 22 Mar.. It's been wayyy over 4 weeks..

call/email CMU. It must have gotten lost in the mail.
