Ok, I got a housing offer that says, "Your offer is for a Triple Room in Resid Apt at Unit 2." What is a "Resid Apt?" Is that just a normal triple room, or is that in an apartment or something? Thanks for your help.

Residential apartments. Unit 2 is all residential apartments, but vary from doubles, triples, suites (upperclassmen only), etc.

Sorry, I'm still confused. It says the unit I've been offered is a "Triple Occupancy Space in Apartment at Unit 2." So this is not a Yoritada Wada Residence Hall Apartment? It is just a regular triple room in Unit 2?

You mean this?

Ok, yeah I think that's what I've been offered. Does anyone know if it will be easy to meet people in these apartments? Because I'm a transfer...thanks.

Generally, the residential Units are more active than in the other residential areas, ie. Clark Kerr, Foothill, Stern, etc, since people are closer to each other in the Unit scenarios and thus interact with each other frequently. Of course, upperclassmen will tend to be more tame than freshmen, so it will probably be a step down from a freshman dorm, which ranges from active to sometimes rowdy (a male freshman floor in the Units is more of a fraternity than a dorm floor from what people report from such experiences). Anyway, you should like it, I unfortunately speak from arbitrary opinion, since I don't know many upperclassmen at Cal yet. Just tell people you're new to Berkeley, and they will be interested in what you have to say, since you'd be unique (transfer, I mean) compared to other upperclassmen.
