Anyone know where Target is located in Los Angeles and/or near USC? Is there only one Target? Do you think the college stuff will be sold out this Tuesday?
My son wants to wait until he gets to LA to buy the dorm things. Is Target the best overall place to go to cut down going to multiple stores in one afternoon?

There's a Target on La Cienega Blvd. Here is the mapquest directions.
I don't know if there's a closer one.

Map of Target, 3535 S La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016 on Los Angeles Citysearch

Thank you so much for your help. I put the address on the list of things to do.

You probably want to have backups --- all the stores near USC are likely to be pilfered of popular essentials.

Can you order online and just pick stuff up at Target like you can at other big stores?

I think that BBB is the only one. LNT is out of business, Target definitely does not have it, Costco has some workarounds I believe but not sure. It may be a bit late now, but 20% off ENTIRE purchase coupons can be bought on eBay for a few bucks. While BBB's prices are nothing to write home about, the 20% coupon makes them competitive, plus you get the convenience to pick up worry free.

There is a bigger and much nicer Target on La Brea (take the 10 West and get off at La Brea, take it north a few miles). Most USC students will be going to the one on La Cienaga so I would expect the stock to be pretty low, but the one on La Brea is huge so it will have a larger selection.

Besides the Target on La Cienega and Rodeo Road, there is another Target in Culver City off Jefferson Blvd, just two blocks west of Overland Blvd. (The La Cienega store has better parking, but the Culver City store has a Bed, Bath and Beyond in the same parking area.)

Both are located within a 10 minute drive of USC. We know, as my husband is a prof in the USC math dept, and we reside in Culver City.

The Target on La Cienega is pretty close to LAX, too. And I visited there today and it's...pretty picked over, to say the least. I know your son said he didn't like the comforters at BBB, but maybe look again? There's a nice one on Sunset and Vine.
