Where is the Awards section on the Common App?

I've been trying to find it everywhere on my application but it doesn't seem to be there. Some say it should be after I give my college advisor's information but I don't see it. Can anyone tell me where EXACTLY it is?

The Common App has gone through an overhaul as of 2 days ago (dubbed CA4). Any area for awards, from what I’ve seen, is in the “Activities” section (i.e. Activity 1, Activity 2, . . . ). The last entry field for any activity you enter on the Common App asks for “accomplishments”, I believe, which would also be where you can list any awards derived from said activity.

You can list academic awards under the Education section. It is the last part of it, called “Honors.” “If you have received any honors beginning with the ninth grade, or international equivalent…” Other than that, you will list awards associated with activities in the Activities section “accomplishments”

^But they aren’t derived from any clubs. I took national language exams and scored among the highest, but I wouldn’t consider that an “activity”; I also received some school-wide academic awards because of my top performance in classes, not because of clubs. And I don’t see an “Honors” tab under the Education section. The last part of the Education section is “Colleges and Universities,” where it asks if I have taken college courses beginning in 9th grade.

I see a “list any honor societies” section for my current college, but I haven’t even started college yet.

Hmmm…I was looking at the undergraduate application, not the transfer application. In that case, you could use the “additional information” section of your application to list those. This is included in the Writing section.

^Okay. I’ll assume that the transfer application doesn’t include an Awards section, then.

I actually had the same problem and was just as confused Juvenis, so you’re not alone. Turns out the Transfer App doesn’t have an Awards section, although the Freshman App does. Why? No clue. I would assume high school honors for a rising sophomore app would be pretty important. I listed my honors in the Additional Information section.

^ My thoughts exactly. I just put them in Add. Info. too
