where is the best place in or near CAL to go to for a quick workout? play some basketball? swimming?

do push ups in your dorm

If you live in Units 1 or 2, there are small central rooms with equipment (treadmills, stairmasters, bicycles).

RSF 10 char

my name is larkin. hi-O.

^^^
Best advice i've seen on the boards!!!

You sound like a good candidate for the Clark Kerr dorm, there is a nice outdoor pool there. Otherwise, Hearst is a great pool too, designed by Julia Morgan (you know, Hearst Castle). Third option is the pool by RSF that the swim team uses, if you can keep up with the likes of Natalie Coughlin and her successors. It's kind of fun to check out the practices there, we have the best freestyle sprint coach in the world, Mike Bottom (Cal swimmer Duje missed the gold by a fingernail in Athens).

Hoop rats hang out at the RSF, on the wood floors. There might be some concrete courts at Clark Kerr and elsewhere. RSF is also where the main campus gym is.

dont be playa hatin DRab! :)

;)

.........

yo DRab can you give me the 411 on trasnferring into cal engineering. Calx helped a bit. maybe you could share your insights all mighty one.

RSF is definitely the best workout facilities on campus but is kinda far if you dont live in unit 3 (just another reason to live there...)

Unfortunately, RSF is currently $5 million in debt (and it's still rapidly rising). I wouldn't be surprised if RSF fee rose to $80 next semester.

I'm not the one to ask about that. sakky is your man there, for starters, ilovelarkin.

ehh it would still be a steal at 80 dollars considering thats about how much i pay per month for my gym membership at home

are intramural sports big at CAL?

Some are quite popular.

whats rsf?

also is clark kerr the ONLY dormitory with a concrete basketball court?

id rather play on an indoor court

anybody know?
