Where is the Deans list for Engineering?

Many Northeastern Colleges have the deans list online.
Does the College of Engineering celebrate excellence?

All colleges have deans lists with this criteria:

A dean’s list, or honors list, is issued at the end of each fall and spring semester. The requirements to be on the dean’s list are a 3.500 grade-point average or higher with no I grade or grade below C–. Students who are on any form of probation, who are enrolled in a course on a pass/fail basis (except where there is no alternative or where required by the program), or who are not carrying a full load as determined by their undergraduate college are not eligible. With a few exceptions as approved by the respective colleges, a full load for fall and spring semesters is considered to be a minimum of four courses or 16 semester hours.

Dean’s List is noted on your transcript for all colleges, in addition - some of the NU colleges post online, some send email notices, some send letters home

Thanks kiddie.

I am questioning the inequity of some students being publicly listed on the web, and some not.
A lazy recruiter might do the easy thing and pull a list like this.

Are these kids the best and brightest at Northeastern? Are the 19 listed engineering students listed here the cream of the crop at Northeastern? Do these kids have an advantage in the recruiting process?

I argue the web listed students have a great advantage in the best co-op’s and jobs, and maybe research positions.
University policy needs to set the bar for all, not the chosen few.

I don’t think it really makes that big of a difference for individuals whether it’s listed online or not. Students still put it on their resumes, and it’s on the transcripts as well. I really don’t feel like Dean’s list makes that big of a difference anyway. It shows up in your GPA anyway. There was one semester I didn’t get Dean’s list because I took an incomplete for a few weeks so I’d have extra time to finish up work I missed when my mom died. And I am 100% confident that that has not impacted my success in any way. I don’t think employers are googling prospective co-op/entry level hires to the point that they will or won’t find a list like this posted online.

Also, the list you found is for university scholars - the college of science has their complete list here:

A recruiter will look at a student’s official transcript to find out their grades, their GPA, and if they made Dean’s List. There is no advantage/disadvantage to having it on the web.

Yes, I agree that recruiters are paid to look at student files. As an efficient and smart recruiter I would use the deans list as a sort to find the best students.

The process is a beauty contest, high IQ, good looks, social skills.

Uh, many students who have high IQ’s and good looks are dolts and could not interview to save their lives. Few employers ask to see transcripts and those that do usually require only a 3.0 GPA. @wave100 you seem very jaded.

Hi Tom of Boston,

Not jaded at all. I am from a resort beach town in socal and my observations are product of my environment.
In fact, its eighty degrees today and the waves are big. I am off for a bike ride.
