Where is the valedictorian of your school going next year?

She’s going to Jamestown, which is labeled the “Harvard of North Dakota.”

Our school has roughly 30 valedictorians because we do not weight GPAs and that’s the number of students who get a 4.0.

The vast majority of them are going to UC Berkeley, but I believe one may be going to Harvard or Stanford, one to MIT, and one to Cal Tech.

Of the valedictorians that I am aware of, 2 are going to UC Berkeley, 1 to UCLA, and 1 to UC Davis.

Because of the economy, many valedictorians, top 1%, might have gotten into ivies and the top schools but chose to matriculate at lower ranked colleges because of the merit scholarship that are offered. That’s what happened in many schools in our area.

Im Valedictorian and im going to UAlabama!

University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (OOS)

that’s quite a few stanfords you’ve listed there haha. what school do you go to?

She’s one of my good friends, and she’s going to Scripps.

Top 3 Students:
Georgetown
Duke (but he got into Dartmouth)
Vanderbuilt (but he got into Univer. of Penn and Cornell and is going to Vandy on a scholarship)

Val is going to MIT, Sal is going to Colorado Springs AF Academy.

I think both our val and sal (they’re twins) are going to university of tampa or some other florida school. They want to go someplace to party.

idk about val but out of our sals, 2 are going to Yale. other people got acceptances from MIT, Princeton, Stanford, and the other ivys.

haha i guess i’m most likely graduating first (although i was second at the time of applications) – i’m going to brown!

second (who was first in the beginning of the year) is going to penn

third is going to umd college park (i’m assuming that everyone from here on has the same rank as they did at application time, although there may be slight changes)

the two people who were tied for fourth are going to columbia and berkeley

uhhh i dunno who were sixth and seventh… i think one of them is going to cooper union and one is going to umd college park

eighth is going to brown

ninthish is still choosing (yes, on april 30th) between harvard, mit, and stanford (also got into princeton and cornell)

yeaaah i feel creepy for knowing all this

McGill University.

Yale, i think

Northwestern I think.
Maybe Cornell.

Val - Harvard
Sal - Yale
3rd - Yale

Val- UIUC
Sal- Drake University

7th (me)- Notre Dame!!
-They have good greats but that’s about it. Both the val and sal got rejected from Northwestern, but I got in. They were slightly ticked…

Val - MIT
Sal - Yale
3rd - Stanford

10th (me) - Amherst College! (not too bad for a public school)

lol idk who our valedictorian is, but b/c we are allowed to take as many AP/IB classes as we want (you could technically take all APs every year in high school) we get a lot of weird ranking happening. plus we dont rank by weighted GPA, i’m pretty sure, so…valedictorian definitely does not equal best person.
That said, 3 Stanford, 3 CalTech, 1 MIT, 1 Vanderbilt, off the top of my head from my group of friends… :stuck_out_tongue:
Lucky them. I wish i was in my dream college already lol
