the georgetown application seems to have fewer sections than other schools. where can you indicate things like awards or 1st generation? i know that 1st generation is probably implied by the pre-app information form, but is there no section for awards or am i missing something?

Yea... i see what you mean .. I did have a small part of the app for awards but jus to be safe I sent them a copy of my resume to show everything ...

They would know that you're first generation by looking at the info about your parents (you would have checked that they didn't have a college degree). If you really want to emphasize it, I guess talk about it in your essay. As for awards, I just filled in the section, but I also sent in a resume.

I have won a lot of awards at my school, but to be honest I thought it would come across as pompous and decided not to tell them about any awards I had won. Why would they care about awards you won at your high school? I could understand if you won awards outside of HS. W/e.

nct3, you said you filled awards in "the section" - which section? i didnt see one solely for awards

my bad, its been awhile since I did the Georgetown app. I guess there's not one. I just sent in a one page resume (my GC wanted me to), but like jj said, unless you have won a regional or national award, its not going to be too important.
