my credentials link also disappeared... I'm a bit concerned because a few of my things were still listed as missing. However, since they said they recieved my college transcript, which I mailed in the same envelope as some of the other items, I'm assuming they have them somewhere... oh well. Gagh! Hurry up UChi!

mine disappeared too.....

anyone here....

Hi? :P (10ch)

The promised blog post has still not been delivered. I wanna be sedated. :|

UChicago admissions office on phone today: "Probably not until the end of the month."

Not untill end of the month...they must really be taking their time in committee.

Unbelievable.

No, they just screwed themselves over by using a brand new imaging system to read the paper apps. They never tried the system out before, and so of course they are using us transfers as guinea pigs.

I'm officially ****ed off now.

Hmm. so they are still reading right now....

I probably won't be mad unless I am deferred/rejected.

Gerald Doyle has spoken:

Lab Rats (I think not, and other topics...)

Ok...I apologize that we're running a bit behind in terms of our transfer decision making but this has absolutely nothing (0) to do with our shift to a document imaging system for the transfer admissions process...the reality is that this has allowed us to have all of the supporting documents in one place for each transfer student who has applied to Chicago. So why are we a little behind schedule, just alot of little things to be honest...some of which was my kid having chicken pox.

So we're working late over the next few days to finish our review of the Early Alternative applicants. I'll post a note about where we are at the beginning of each day so that you will know where we are in the process and when we're ready to send our emails.

Thanks - in advance - for your patience.

I am going to wait and wait and wait and get rejected and cry and get drunk.

And then you're going to wish you were neverborn, right? j/k :P

So very clever.

I like how Jerry says that the delay is unrelated to the imaging...what a bunch of poo.

The funny thing is that a few days ago he implied that there was a delay because of the imaging system! Hehehe..

Sorry for the slow response....I've been swamped here installing a new document imaging system....our reading and review of transfer applications has been slightly delayed...

Oh well. It's no big deal, really. At least now we know not to hope for anything this week.

I'm also glad he promised to post an update every morning.

I don't have my cred link either. It existed for 3 days in March and then has gone forever....

Jerry's actual words were, "I'll post a note about where we are at the beginning of each day..." It is now past noon in Chicago and still no update. Perhaps the delay is being caused by the fact that they do not begin their day until mid-afternoon. I just wish they would not tell us they will do something and then continue to fail on the follow-through.

i know, its gettin very agravating, i submit my ap in Feb for a March 1st deadline, and then they start revising it in mid april

'Perhaps the delay is being caused by the fact that they do not begin their day until mid-afternoon."...very funny.

I think he might have meant end of each day...that seems more reasonable. Its interesting because I am sure they could go threw [at least] 180 applications per day in committee - 20/30 an hour [again a low estimate] then for an 8 hour day. I doubt more than 360 people applied early so I wonder why it would be next week though that's what he is making it sound like.

lol, i should just stroll into the admissions office and see whether you guys got in.
