where r the dang Chicago decisions

I'm new to elite admission, and I honestly don't get the deferred thing. What could possibly change in one month that might change your decision?

You can send in more recs and more importantly, current grades for the current semester

There are roughly 250+/- students who have submitted an application to Chicago under its Early Alternative application program.

For the several days, I've been hand checking about 135 +/- of these applications for missing credentials; some of you are missing a single item; some of you are missing several items. If you call the Office over the next few days (and only Early Alternative applicants should call this week), please ask to speak to my colleagues Ms. Watson or Ms. Shaw. They can tell you if you're application is complete, and if it is incomplete what remains missing and the best way to get these materials to us.

You can reach Ms. Watson and Ms. Shaw at 773-702-8650. If you do call, please confirm your email address with my colleagues since I want to be sure that we can communicate with you effectively when we make the final decisions.

If your application was complete as of Friday, April 21st; we will send a decision to you via email on Friday of this week.

My son is well; thanks to those of you for the concern. Now it's just to the matter at hand.

Good luck to those of you still writing and completing your final papers.

Jerry

P.S. Any new information that you would like to add to your file should be sent via email to misc@phoenix.uchicago.edu

This will allow me to get the information quickly and directly to members of the Admissions Committee.

I think that there might be more EA's then RD's ...how many RD's are on the thread, besdies the two allready mentioned?

I want in. I sent him additional information, saying that my GPA will most likely be much higher after this sem (up to 3.57ish) .... want in so bad.

I'm pulling for you, neverborn... I know you want it more than a lot of the applicants.

Thanks, friend.

I'm RD, I was EA, but I didn't feel confident enough about my essays.

I'm missing two of my credentials which I have to fax them ASAP! I know they received them, but they were lost in the 'sorting process' - grr....

I wanted to update them on my current grades, but my profs are on strike. Out of five pieces of work, I've gotten a grade on ONE (thankfully, it was a good grade). sigh of frustration

So, the moral of the story is: sit tight, all of you. chances are you're better off than me :p

I've got everything in -
