Where should Cal poly Slo be ranked for engineering

He is a undergraduate ranking for schools with doctorates, i know that cal poly doesnt have one, so put either what rank or between what schools you think it should be. He are the rankings to reference

above 52, but below 45

don’t despair…that’s still pretty good

You think it is worse than Irvine?

it’s not proper to rank it on a single scale…whether uc irvine is better or not is totally subjective

Rank it right behind Cal Poly Pomona.

I got a good laugh out of this. Thanks!

Cal Poly SLO is a great school. I don’t know too much about Universities outside California but comparing SLO to the UC’s, I’d say it’s under UCSD but above UC Davis, putting it around the mid-20’s

I’d agree with dexterla8 from what I’ve heard

It annoys me when people call Cal Poly Cal Poly SLO…the school is called the “California Polytechnic State University”, while Cal Poly-Pomona is “California State Polytechnic University-Pomona”. :)

It also annoys when people try to argue that Cal Poly-Pomona is better. It is not. If anything it is worse (for engineers, anyways)…it’s a commuter school that has a lower graduation rate, and has a stronger focus on the liberal arts.

siglio21 makes an extraordinarily strong case for the inclusion of SLO in a list, where I think, should have SLO at the very top.

Cal Poly Pomona could be the “Wish I was SLO” douch

Well, good luck fitting in a working environment. With all that undeserved sense of entitlement you carry; you must be a real team player and a delightful working partner.

Also, I’m a Chemical Engineer. How could I be wishing to be part of an engineering program that doesn’t have my major?

Haha what are you talking about? I just made a joke since you seem to bash SLO a lot. I have nothing against CPP but it gets old how CPP people try to bash SLO all the time, and I don’t even go there.

haha CalPolyEngineer

anyways i wasnt looking down at Cal Poly Pomona…it’s really very very nice…their jam is better than SLO’s

but it’s kinda like cornell talking down at harvard…it’s grating, even though in reality the two schools are probably not that different in quality

One thing I do envy is the darn good Pinot Noir from the Central Coast.
