Where Should/Can I transfer?

Obviously, I can sit here and look through college and university requirements all day, but I wanted to ask your opinions because I think you can give better info than a webpage. I am looking to transfer OOS from So Cal where I have been my whole life. I would describe myself as very outgoing and adventurous(love extreme sports and all sports for that matter). I love to party and would prefer a bigger school but one with some prestige. Basically looking for UCSB outside of California. and now for my stats

HS GPA 2.8(I didn't care)
CC GPA 3.5(Yeah I care a little more)
34 units completed(Will complete GE/Lower Division requirements for most schools)
will have 60 units/ 3.7 GPA by time of transfer
PTK Honors and Volunteering as EC's
Major: psych/cognitive science
Any Suggestions as to where I should apply based on the above? Thanks for any input!

What can you afford? Out-of-state public schools will offer you very little financial aid, so if you’re not in a position to do full-pay, that’s going to limit your options.

Look at WUE schools - the [Western Undergraduate Exchange](http://wue.wiche.edu).

I would say my family can afford most out there. And as a transfer with 2-3 years of tuition to pay I should be alright, although OOS tuition is much more.

Just curious as to why you want to go out of state? Many of the top programs for cognitive science and psych are in California: Stanford, UCLA, UCSD, and UCB

I want to leave California simple as that.

@polsrscribe, thanks for the link.
