Where should I apply? (Engineering Major)

Hi guys. I’ll try to be brief: I’m in a bit of a spot because I really don’t know what schools I should apply to. I’m interested in computer or biomedical engineering, and live in CT.

SAT 1: 2080 (620V/700M/760W)
ACT: 33 (33W/36M/33R/30S)
SAT II: 740 Math IIC / 710 US History / 660 Physics / 650 Literature
AP Scores: US History 4 / Calculus AB 5
Gpa: 3.74
Rank: 9/330 Public high school
Schedule this year:
AP Physics
Psychology
AP English
AP Calc BC
AP Stats
Civics (need for graduation)

Extra-curriculars aren’t bad – I’ve dedicated to music, and have been in the marching band, school band, and district advanced jazz band for 3-4 years. I also co-founded and am the treasurer of our Model UN, co-founded a math team for our school. I am section leaders in all bands I participate in. Volunteering I have some, but nothing special – about 50 hours at our library this summer and about 20 tutoring math last spring. I also work about 50 hours over the summer doing landscaping. My recommendations should be good as well, and my essays are well-done.

Right now I’m applying to Northeastern, WPI, Boston U, and Virginia Tech. Any other good matches/reaches? UVa? Michigan? Any suggestions for a strong engineering school that’d match my stats would be greatly appreciated.

i'd say stick with your acts, since they're alot stronger than your sats. I think you have a good chance UVA, Mich. You're most likely in at WPI, VTechm and BU. Oh and Northeastern is a def in.

Johns Hopkins has really good BME, it would be a slight reach for you

Thanks, good input.

Since I need to send my SAT IIs - colleges still get my SAT I scores, right? Will sending my SAT 1 score hurt me more than not sending it, even if my ACT score is sent both times? And if so, is there some way to have them not consider it?

I was never really sure how that worked.
