Where Should I Apply for Econ?

I am currently a freshman and I have just switched my major to Economics (applicable to the second quarter). My current school doesn't have a very reputable Business school or Econ program so I am consider a transfer (for either second semester Sophomore or Junior).

With the transfer process being such a crapshoot I do not want to waste my time applying to schools that I have no chance of getting in for.

Stats:
HS GPA 3.08 UW/ 3.5 W (7 AP courses)
SAT: 1340 (680 Verbal and 660 Math)
EC's: Pretty standard- Tutor, 100+ hours as a hospital volunteer, Varsity Track and Cross Country (nothing that significant)

College Stats:
101 Intro to Microeconomics: A (taken over the summer before senior year)
101 Chemistry: A- (taken this past summer)

Enrolled for Calc I, Physics I, Foundations of Engineering.

I am assuming that after transferring out of the College of Engineering I will have better grades than this quarter so I am going to say that I will maintain a cumulative GPA of greater than 3.5.

With a 3.5+ GPA and decent SAT's and High school GPA what types of schools would be a good fit for me to even try to apply to. I am impartial to any location in the USA so that really isn't a factor.

I was thinking of schools like Ohio State, University of Michigan, Cornell, Emory University and University of California-San Diego. Are these schools within reach? I basically just pulled of some list I was giving for Econ rankings.

Any suggestions would be great.
