@“Yalie 2011” Our school doesn’t rank.
Good for you.
“Last year, Berkeley accepted 77/235 kids from my school (~33%)”
That is incredible for a CA public school, no matter how competitive it maybe! Are you sure about your statistics?
@uclaparent9 yup!! Davis is ~34%.
But UCB is much more selective than UCD!
@uclaparent9 Yeah hahaha, I think all of the other UC acceptance rates for my school are about equal to the actual universities’ acceptance rates. Our school is >70% Asian lol
UCB acceptance rates for my school:
2016: ~33%
2015: ~30%
2014: ~36%
You can mostly regard post #19, @calijunior, in that I’d misread the source you provided.
However, that source (#17) references engineering rankings, when just earlier (#15) you had mentioned computer science rankings.
In any event, RPI places higher in the engineering rankings than others on your list, which relates to my own sources for my orginal suggestions.
Thanks
@uclaparent9 I think it’s out of the people who applied. The senior class is ~600.
That makes sense now
@uclaparent9 Aren’t acceptance rates calculated using the number of people who applied though?
The way you stated originally (77/235) gave me the impression that was out of a senior class of 235.
I’m not an expert. But your ecs are pretty strong. Also, do you know about kali Linux(since your into cybersecurity)?
If your into cybersecurity, GA TECH has a pretty good scholarship offer. They pay a large portion of their tuition. Once you graduate, you end up working for a government agency or firm for 2-3 years in cybersecurity.
@Mahindra Yeah I do. I checked Naviance and it’s showing me that it’s unlikely that I’ll get into Georgia Tech :\
oh
Hey, at least your in Cali(puns, puns). So your UC Berkeley chances are a lot higher. Plus, GA Tech has holistic reviews. So don’t pay THAT much of attention to Naviance.
@Mahindra lol thanks
np
Kail is decent but its too stuffed IMO… @Mahindra
Also OP what exactly is the DoD program that you are applying to? There’s nothing about it on Google… @calijunior
@0x0001 it’s a high school apprenticeship, I don’t think there’s a name for it
