SAT II scores out dec 21
not the "typical Asian, no piano, no tennis, no violin, and my math sucks

IB DP student in shanghai,China

Outstanding awards: Best delegate MUN Nationals (China)

Ecs: teaching hip -hop, swimming, newspaper editor, volunteering, flower arrangement, etc
Work: translating, teaching chinese

possible majors: Economics

Aside from the teaching hip-hop, you seem like a typical Asian applicant to me, or at least not a non-typical Asian.

i dont know where you shoudl apply but you should definetely try to seperate yourself from being the typical asian... use teaching hip-hop in ur essays. exploit it... otherwises ur gonna be a number against a number among your category

damn i'm getting sick of these ,why u should apply as a non-typical Asian student in order to make u feel better and HOW DO U KNOW THEY DON'T WANT TYPICAL ASIAN? i don't think any of the skin colors matters as long as ur satisfied with yourself first. if u don't even get along with your own ethnic , i think these colleges will only look down on you.
in a word, just be yourself !!! if u have faith in it ,better than make urself a not typical asian honey.

firstly, napova wat the heck are u talking about?

lol that came off a little harsh. but nothing you said is justified. it is true that asians are way too over-represented in the applicant pool, and generally have higher stats. in order to not be an average asian, ppl really do need to stand out
