Tufts University
College of William and Mary

I hope some of this information was enough and if you guys need more information from me, just let me know. I have looked into Tufts and W & M but these are only a couple of choices... so i am looking for some help. Could you guys please suggest some reach and match colleges that i should apply to based on everything i have posted.

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it! Sorry for the long post!

I know this must take long to read… but i would really love some opinions! so i am bumping!

ib - With your strong academics and ability to pay, you’ll find no shortage of excellent schools with strong Biology/Pre-Med programs. WashU is one that comes to mind, possibly as an alternative to W&M (which is very difficult for students outside Virginia). Vanderbilt? Northwestern?

Pitt!!
great for pre med
and not uber expensive
plus…it’ll be a match

Carleton, definitely. Maybe a bit cold, but oh well.

I do like Wash U.-St. Louis quite a bit and i will look into that more. What are some of my other matches and reaches.

bump …

if you’re pre med, stanford, duke, penn (albeit a little cold). public schools are a little iffy when it comes to med 'cause of resources, etc.

stanford? haha, i think that would be a huge reach for me because my freshman year isnt the strongest. Thanks… i will look into the ones you mentioned.

Duke, Holy Cross-(near Boston).

^I second Pitt.

Also try for thebest LAC that you can get into and like. I’ll take a blind guess that you’re from Toronto and suggest Oberlin, Kenyon, Kalamazoo, Allegheny, Hamilton, Hobart and William Smith, Bennington, and Union. If I guessed wrong and you’re from Vancouver, try U of Puget Sound, Reed, and Washington State.

Good Luck!!!

lol OHKID… i love how you only consider Toronto and Vancouver and not places like Montreal… anyway ur right … i am from Toronto… Why do you suggest certain LACs based on where i am from Canada? Anyway, thanks … i will look into those.

Carleton, Haverford, and Wesleyan would be great.

^With gas prices these days, along with ridiculous airport security, it is rarely sensible to go beyond 8 hours from home, IMO. Also, yeah, forgot about Montreal. Sorry.

There are thousands of students (including ours) who routinely fly to and from school and don’t have problems with airport security. If the distance and cost are okay, don’t let security influence your decision. IMHO.

i actually don’t find flying long distances so that should not be a problem! Thanks for the suggestions pointoforder
