Help me! I’m freaking out because all my friends are applying at least like 8 schools and I only have four I am applying to and two that I am serious about so if anyone has any recommendations for where might be a match or a low reach school for me.
So far I am applying to the James Madison Residential College at Michigan State University, UMich, Northwestern, and Vanderbilt.
I am a senior girl from a pretty reputable public school in Michigan.

If you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it, its freaking me out to only have 4. Thanks!
You have posted stats but have told us nothing about what you are looking for in a college. We need that info to make suggestions.
@snarlatron I am pretty much open to anything at this point but you are right, thanks for the suggestion.
OK, but “open to anything” is impossible. Will you be happy at West Point, Liberty University, Oberlin College, New York University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Finlandia University? Think about univ vs. LAC, size, region, campus culture, financial need, etc.
Do you have any geographical preferences?
What can your family afford for net/net college costs? Will your family qualify for financial aid, or will you need merit?
You have wonderful grades and scores, so you should have plenty of nice options.
@ColdinMinny My family is in the under 50k income bracket, so I’m not sure exactly what we can do for a net college cost but I am really hoping for significant financial aid. As far as geographical preferences I would prefer Midwest, East Coast or South probably
I am looking for a large to medium size school with good financial aid or scholarship offerings, a decent sports culture, good social sciences department, easy access to study abroad, and with a campus/surrounding area with lots to offer.
@frazzledsenior17
Tulane is an ideal match, it would seem. Apply EA and then you are also eligible to apply for the full tuition scholarships, for which you seem to be a strong applicant.
I would also consider applying to Miami (FL) and Washington University in St. Louis, although the latter is not a sports school. USC is also a school to consider, although it is west coast, obviously.
@fallenchemist I will definitely look into all those schools! Thanks!
You are in a state with great state universities. I don’t see how you could go wrong with University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Michigan State University, Western Michigan University to cover all of the bases.
