Hi! I needed some help with selecting some universities to apply to for CIVIL ENGINEERING. I have no clue as to which schools can be a match/low reach/ reach for me. please help :slight_smile:

SAT ( CR+W+M) = 570+570+690= 1830 ( not good ){ will not be submitting this most prob}

ACT - 30-34 C (expecting)

CLASS 10- 9.4 CGPA
CLASS 11- 50% ( SCHOOL HIGHEST WAS 69%)
CLASS 12- 94-95% (EXPECTING)

WORKED AT THE CENTRAL WATER COMMISION ( RUN BY THE INDIAN GOVT.) FOR DROUGHT MANAGEMENT FOR A YEAR

TAUGHT VILLAGE CHILDREN FOR 17-19 DAYS EVERY SUMMER FOR 3 YEARS . WAS FEATURED IN THE REGIONAL NEWSPAPER FOR THIS AND WAS ALSO INTERVIEWED BY LEADING REGIONAL MAGAZINE.

HAVE GREAT LORs AND A PREDICTED SCORE OF 93+ (GIVEN BY MY SCHOOL) FOR MY GRADE 12 EXAMS.

First ACT 30-34 is a large range. Second, you need to recalculate your uwGPA in 4.0 scale.

@billcsho Lets take my act to be somewhere between 30-32?

how do i get my uwGPA?
cant seem to find a converter or anything on google.

i think my uwGPa should be around 3.6 for 9th grade and 3.76 for 10th grade ( not sure though)

Your SAT is not competitive for the “world ranking/reputation” schools that I am assuming are the Ivies.

Think about Purdue which would be a high match to low reach. Also your in state flagship.

@“aunt bea” Nno not really the ivies, any school which is in the top 70-80 world ranking.
i wont be sending my sat scores so…

There are search links on the left that you can access to match your needs with the schools. As an international student, it will be difficult to gain entry and compete with other students.
