Where should I apply??

Hello!! I just signed up for this website, and I must say, it is difficult to navigate at first! So please excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong forum or making some rookie mistake :)

I just completed junior year in high school, and I've began doing research for colleges. The problem is, there are so many colleges to choose from, and I just don't know where to apply. Please give me any suggestions based on my information:

4.47 GPA (weighted)

Have taken all Honors and AP courses throughout high school

Straight A student

SAT: 2180 (690 CR, 750 Writing, 740 Math)

SAT II: Math 2 = 800, Biology E = 760

ACT: 33 Composite

interested in majoring in biology/biochem/molecular biology/pre-med (you get the idea)

also interested in Pharm.D programs

looking for high caliber colleges in northeast United States

Where do you live (state)?
Do you need financial aid (how much can you afford)?

Schools to consider: SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Buffalo, and UPitt

Check out U Rochester, and I’ll second Pitt.

I live in New Jersey
I know Rutgers has an excellent Pharm.D program, but I feel as though I can aim higher than that, you know?

Alright, so we basically have the same stats- I have a very similar SAT score/GPA and am interested in the same things (plus am looking at NE schools) . I can’t really help you with Pharm D programs, but what size school are you looking for?

I am looking at:
Carnegie Mellon
College of William and Mary
Duke
Elon
Ithaca College
James Madison
Marist
SUNY at Binghamton
Chapel Hill
U of NC Wilmington

I can explain why for some if you want

Well, Rice fits the bill for eeverything you mentioned, except for location.

Does this mean your parents are well off and willing to pay $60K/year for school?

well I haven’t looked at any scholarships or financial aid yet, but I’m sure I will get some. Regardless, my parents did tell me not to worry about the cost, so I guess they’re willing to pay $60K/year

can you explain Duke and UNC?

Northeastern (great pharm)
University of Pittsburgh (great pharm)
Rutgers (you mentioned already)

I chose Duke because it is a sports and academic focused school (even though I am not a serious athlete, I enjoy the school spirit aspect). It also has a strong science (as well as everything else) program and has around 7,000 undergrads, making the class sizes a bit smaller. I chose UNC Wilmington (I’m assuming that’s what you meant) because I really liked Chapel Hill but it is very difficult to get in out-of-state. Wilmington had good reviews for the biology department and was more selective than other NC public schools. Also, it is fairly cheap at about 30,000 including all expenses like textbooks and boarding. It also has several merit aid scholarships.
