<p>Interest in Finance at Tufts has been steadily increasing over the last decade or so. Recently, alums from Wall Street have become very active on campus. In 2008 they created the Tufts Financial Network and started offering Wall Street “Boot Camps” and other mentoring/networking services. Now they have helped form the minor and funded someone from industry to become a “professor of the practice”. Before this, students who wanted to go to Wall Street would put together their own programs and network their way in, or go get a top tier MBA degree to get in.</p>

<p>Note that the CEO of JP Morgan Chase (Jamie Dimon) is a Tufts undergrad (Harvard MBA) and one of the 2013 Economics Nobel Prize winners (Eugene Fama) is also a Tufts undergrad (UChicago MBA/Phd/Professor). Fama did his undergrad research project on the stock market…</p>
<p>@Mastadon this reply literally made my day. I have been so stressed deciding whether or not to ED to Tufts my only concern was lack of credibility on wall street in case that is what I want to do. Of course I am a senior in high school and would rather keep my options more open with Quantative Economics and maybe comp sci thanks for the reply</p>
