As I am planning to do Early Decision, I desperately need your advice in deciding which college or university I should apply. From the information below, help me where you guys think I should apply ("can" apply I should say). Btw, somewhere in the northeast region would be benefitial as I hope to major in business. Also, consider the fact that my school is not competitve like your's; thus, very unfortunately I could not take any AP classes. But I am trying to take as high classes as my school can offer (like precalculus and calculus).

(Yeah, I have a big wish but any chance from Early Decision?)

I don’t know about other institutions but I have been accepted at UIUC with lower stats so I think it is your low match/Safety. (SAT and GPA) I’m also international. I’m still waiting for BU’s decision. I think you need to take TOEFL. Some universities (on your list) require higher critical reading score in order to waive TOEFL, while other (Publics, I think) require TOEFL score no matter how high you scored on SAT CR. If you are from the country which is less represented at American universities than I think you have a great chance. I can recommend some schools strong in business. Georgetown, Lehigh, Emory, Babson.

Thanks DOLO2, I appreciate your help! Oh, btw, as you are international yourself, do you know any prestigious college or university that offer international scholarships or loans?

wiz, quite a few of your target schools have their own threads under the college section, perhaps if you ask also on some of them you will get better info and assessments/recommendations. Also the websites at Peterson's and princeton review can help you to match against certain schools.

Cal does not have ED. The schools that tend to give most $$ to internationals are the very top colleges (HYP) but you would need considerably higher stats for them. Also, forget aid from Stern, stats not high enough and they could fill up twice with full pay Asians. Your best chance at $$ will be a non prestige school where your stats are at the top of the pool.

I also go to a small international school with similar stats. What do you think of our chances at the schools mentioned including UCLA and USC..

Carnegie Mellon, Emory, Georgetown, Harvard, MIT, Northwestern, Notre Dame, UPenn, Wake Forest, WashU
Babson and Northeastern may not be that prestigious, but they have great business programs.
Brigham Young seems to be a good and especially cheap school too if you don't mind their "honor code".

wiz4rds. Here is the list of the institutions with Financial Aid for Internationals. List is not complete but you can find there some prestigious universities.
