I am new here and I am trying to decide where to apply for a master's in aerospace engineering. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what you think my chances are to get into the schools I am looking at.
Here is the thing. When I started in college I wasn't ready for school, but my parents made me go. I ended up going for a year and making a really bad gpa, so my overall gpa is 3.25. Since that time, I have been in the mechanical engineering program at the University of South Carolina and have a gpa of 3.78. My major degree is a 3.7. My question is how much will my overall gpa be looked at over my usc gpa and major gpa? On the GRE, I scored a 800Q/610V/4.5.
Also my other question is for those who can help what do you think my chances are to get into the following schools: MIT, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Illinios, Michigan, and Purdue. Thanks in advance.
