Theres some other stuff, but you've got the most important things. If you all were me, where would you be applying?

Ohh yeah, I'm looking at getting into the sciences, perhaps medicine.
Any Suggestions?

Johns Hopkins?

depends on your preferences for size of school, location, urban vs rural, type of school, etc etc

Right. I really don't know about my preferences. I've looked at big schools and smaller schools, urban and rural and I don't know if those features really make that much of a difference to me.

i think you are in a good position to go to most colleges. You have the stats, and seem well rounded. You could probably get into top 20 school; and you could get a lot of $ for going to all other schools.

Johns Hopkins is scary for PM. Some people thrive in the environment, others don't. It just depends on what kind of learner you are.

And...you have to come up with some sort of criteria. There are 3000 colleges in the country - you need to narrow it down somehow. What kind of environment do you want? What's important to you? Small class sizes?

Washington University in St. Louis.

you powerlift!? awesome! i never thought that i'd meet a fellow powerlifter on these boards.

care to post your class and stats?

what do you mean maintained? what happened to it? If it is significant, it may be your ticket into many schools

Maintained the site as in keep it well, keep it from breaking down. It is still doing well, approx. 125,000 hits per month according to its stats program

Lifting Stuff- 430 squat
250 clean
200 bench

Be sure to look into majors (and tuition discounts for NY state residents) in CALS at Cornell.

But Pre-Med at Cornell is a killer (probably same at JHU). You've been warned...

I know a kid, now a resident under WASHU, said that he was immediately turned off by JHU. he said that while he likes to go to a fball game etc on a saturday, JHU kids are in the lab just about every waking moment.

My impression of JHU is a bunch of extremely intelligent kids who didnt make the cut to the top ivies because they lack ECs, and now are somewhat resentful and study to the death. OH YA, he also told me that his other friend who went there got his textbooks ripped apart bc he was doing well in a class. Any JHU students to confirm this competitiveness?
