and because im not the brightest or most outgoing student, i dont expect very good teacher recs. i was wondering how important SAT2s are, but i know some school dont require it.

Thinking About Applying to.....
UC Berkley
UC San Diego
UC LA
UT Austin
UT Dallas
Texas Tech

so yea...how realistic are my choices? i really dont want to go to a crappy community college or something, so iono. it would help a lot of someone could recommend some colleges? or possible short term plans for making my resume/application better, possibly give me some tips on what i should focus on more? maybe taking ACT?

you not being in any clubs REALLY REALLY hurts your chances, consdering that your SAT score is not very good

SAT IIs: none? thats really not good. even if some schools dont require (which most good ones do), its better to show that youre specialized in a topic

All the UC’s = high reach(perhaps reach if youre lucky)
UT/TT: no idea

UC’s are not going to be happening, at least the ones you’re listing. It might be so very contrary to the Asian belief system, but CC really will make your prospects better for the instate schools you’re looking at. EC’s simply aren’t enough. I wouldn’t even hold out much hope for UT Austin unless you’re in the guarantee thing. TT I have no idea, but I don’t see it on the top 50 in USNWR so I guess its your safety and the only one you reasonably have a chance at.

UCs: Big Reach (OOS, low SAT, low GPA, no ECs)

First think about affordability. Can you afford public out of state places and private places? You seem to like large public schools, but the UCs are too hard to get into. Look at some of the big ones that accept a lot of people- Indiana U, Michigan State, Arizona State, Ohio U, Penn State. If you like California, look at Occidental College. Many liberal arts colleges need males, and need people who are good in math. They also give money. Your background is not terrible- there are plenty of places for you.
