Where should I apply?

I'm having trouble narrowing down my choices for college applications. I'm looking for a medium to large college in or near a large city with plenty of internships available-- especially ones that have excellent international relations programs and a lot of resources/opportunities for undergraduate students. Financial aid isn't a huge issue, but I'll probably take it into consideration. I'm mainly looking at colleges in the U.S., but I'm not totally afraid to go international. Well, here are my stats; perhaps you guys can recommend some good reaches, matches, and safeties for me, and I'll take a look at them.

I'm looking to get more involved outside of school in the community. I've been contacting various human rights organizations because I'm interested in getting involved in grassroots activism, as well as human rights education. Confession: I'm only a sophomore currently (junior next year), but I have limited money for visiting college campuses next year, and I'd really like to choose a few good choices, so please make some recommendations. Thanks :]

I recommend: Georegetown (SFS), Columbia, Harvard, Princeton, UPenn, Johns Hopkins

...based on their International Relations program, proximity to a large city and your application, which looks pretty good.

I would look at Georgetown University--in Georgetown, which is part of D.C.

It is not the only "politically connected" university by any means, but it is definitely a good one for that type of stuff, as far as I know. And I visited it and I liked it.

So...? Maybe give it a shot? Chances are, of course, unpredictable, as they are at all universities, and I really don't have any experience in such evaluation. But I would check it out. :)

good profile, I am too interested in International Relations. :D Mind if I ask what was your weighted freshmen gpa?

A-san, this may sound weird, but we didn't have weighting in 9th grade because it was still part of the middle school (high school was 10-12). I just moved this year to a new school district (suburbs of D.C., actually).

ah, lucky you. :)

Nah, not lucky. Being separated from the high school meant that I didn't start any EC's until this year (sophomore year)-- as you can see. Besides, my freshman GPA still counts; the honors courses just aren't weighted.

oh, your freshmen grades do count... if it didn't, in my case you are lucky because I didn't do so well in my freshmen grades.

Bump--------------
