I have Spoken to my parents and have come to a conclusion that they will send me anywhere in the world (No limits on cost , and location) for my undergraduate degree , Provided it ( university/college) has quality education , good reputation , and the degree which i obtain at the end should be well renowned over the world and can give me super job placement.

So please inform or let me about such universities (UK,Canada,USA,Australia,Asia,. .. anywhere) where i will be accepted

Thanks a lot for your help (all of you)

Ask your parents again about the money. The cost of attendance (COA) at good private universities in the US exceeds US$50,000 per year. This means a total of more than US$200,000. Canada is cheaper. So, I understand is Australia.

My parents are sure and they are aware of the costs . The only problem is getting in . So can u atleast suggest a where i can get in ?

Try Purdue.

These things don’t count as ECs.

Could you please mention your SAT I components? Well, to be honest, I think you have a good shot at Universities like Syracuse University, Boston University & American University! Your reaches could be Northeastern University & George Washington University.

The fact that you won’t be applying for financial aid will definitely help you. As most of the international students are applying for aid.

You can also look at good state universities like University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Washington, Clemson University, Penn State University Park & others.

Go through various university rankings and news articles. See which university matches your personal and academic standard. Best of luck! :)

Just about every single public university in the US that has an engineering program offers mechanical engineering, so you have lots to choose from. What part of the country do you want to be in? Do you want an urban or rural environment? Do you want a big university or a small one? You can try this search engine for some ideas:

[College MatchMaker - Type of School](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board)

For information on international admissions in the US, visit http://educationusa.state.gov/undergrad.htm</a> You can also make an appointment with the advisors in the office that is nearest to you.

I think Purdue was a great suggestion, it has a very strong engineering program and you have a good chance there. However, it should be said that Purdue is famous for having a notoriously difficult engineering program which many people eventually transfer out of. I think it likes to admit a lot of people and then weed out the weaker students. But if you are honestly willing to work very hard for your courses, Purdue is a great option with strong graduate prospects.

Also, note that for internationals, Purdue costs about 35-40k a year, compared to 50-55k at most other private colleges.
