where should i apply?

Hi i was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions of schools i should apply to that I may be able to get into (like some safeties, fit schools, and reaches).

I’m interested in education, nursing, pre-med but am not sure so even schools without programs/ small programs in these are fine

I’d like to stay on the east coast, I wouldn’t go any further than PA
My stats:

I go to one of the top private schools in the country (ranked in the top 10 right after Choate, Andover, Phillips Exeter)
My school apparently has good relationships with many top colleges

My stats:

SATS: 2010 (took one more time waiting for scores)
ACTS: 31 ( took again waiting for scores)
SAT2s: Math: 730 Spanish: 690 US history: 680
School does not rank
GPA: UW 3.5 (apparently at my school a 3.1 is equal to a 3.9 at other schools)
Honor roll at school

ECS:

additional info
white, female
essays: pretty good I think, idk, one is written about my mom’s passing during high school and how my role has changed, how I take care of my young sisters,
teacher recs: fine - I don’t think they will be bad, I’m not sure if they are awesome, one of them is probably very good the other one is probably just fine

First, please accept my condolences on the loss of your beloved mother.

Will your role as a mom-substititute for your younger sisters affect how far away from home you’ll want to go to school? Will you need to be within a few hours drive from home? That may need to be a consideration.

We need to know what kind of school do you want…big, small, quiet, rah rah big sports, rural, college town/med city, big city, ???

Are you in-state for New Jersey???
Is money no object? Can your dad afford to send you to the school of your choice?

If so… then, you should apply to…
Villanova
Lehigh
Boston U
U Rochester
Fordham
Holy Cross
Rutgers
Syracuse
Providence
UDelaware
UConn

If money will be an issue, then… I’m interested in education, nursing, pre-med but am not sure so even schools without programs/ small programs in these are fine

Because of your possible majors, I would not recommend going to any schools that would require much in student loans because…

1) if you end up being pre-med, you’ll need huge loans for med school.

2) if you end up in nursing, the pay is nice, but not enough to pay back big loans with any comfort level.

3) if you end up in teaching, the starting pay is lowish, and you won’t be making enough to pay back big loans.

I would target Lehigh,U Rochester, Fordham, Holy Cross as the best of that group.

thank you,
money is not an object
i’d like to go to a school with school spirit
and medium or large, no small school
do you tihnk i would ever be accepted to georgetown, bc, or johns hopkins - i know this is basically impossible
